Как и почему я использую таск-менеджер Doit.im / GTD / Betteri.ru

У нас достаточно много писали про популярнейший таск-менеджер Remember The Milk. Как оказалось, это действительно хороший продукт, но не мой :) Просидев на RTM около месяца и устав от «гиковости» сервиса, я решил проверить, как обстоят дела у конкурентов. Перепробовав Nozbe, Wunderlist, Google Tasks, Todoist и MyLifeOrganized, остановился на Doit.im. Doit.im — понятный, удобный и человечный таск-менеджер, почти полностью копирующий все достоинства RTM и исключающий многие его недостатки. У этого поста две цели: показать выгодные отличия Doit.im от RTM и поделиться накопленным опытом работы с сервисом. Приблизительный размер поста ≈ 7 страниц.

В RTM два основных инструмента для работы с задачами: списки и теги. Пользователю предоставляется право решать, как слепить из этих элементов проекты, контексты, настроить их фильтрацию и сортировку.

Основное отличие Doit.im в том, что встроенных инструментов здесь больше: теги, списки, проекты, контексты, календарь — все это самостоятельные единицы Doit.im, которые доступны, так сказать, в базовой комплектации, ничего изобретать не нужно.

Второе отличие — списки в Doit.im, в отличие от Remember The Milk, располагаются вертикально. С моей точки зрения, это более привычное и логичное решение.

Боксы aka Списки
Рассмотрим основные встроенные списки, именуемые в Doit.im боксами.

Inbox — для сбора идей и их обработки в свободное время.

Today — задачи на сегодня, основной список. Задача может попасть сюда несколькими способами: а) Можно назначить ей дату начала, и в нужный день она появится в списке Today. б) Рядом с любой задачей в Doit.im находится потухшая звездочка. Если по ней кликнуть, то звездочка загорится, дата задачи будет изменена на сегодняшнюю, а сама задача окажется в списке Today.Просроченные задачи остаются в списке Today, пока вы их не выполните или не измените их дату. Обратите внимание, как отображается соотношение просроченных задач к остальным. Удобно и пропустить невозможно.

Doit Now — «сделать прямо сейчас», отдельный инструмент в рамках Today, предназначенный для концентрации во время работы. На каждой задаче в списке Today нарисован символ молнии, если по ней кликнуть, задача переедет в подсписок Doit Now. Полученные задачи можно открыть в специальном мини-окне, где нет ничего лишнего.

Дополнительный плюс, и, как говорится, я не знаю, баг это или фича, но в Doit Now задачи можно сортировать в нужном порядке, просто перетаскивая мышкой.

Next. Список “следующих” дел. То, что уже не “Когда-нибудь”, но еще не “Сегодня”.

Tomorrow. Что здесь скажешь? Как Today, только Tomorrow). Очень удобно быстро просмотреть расписание на завтра или отложить задачу, перетянув ее на этот список — Doit.im автоматически присвоит ей завтрашнюю дату. А ровно в полночь все задачи из Tomorrow переезжают… правильно, в Today. Опять же обратите внимание, что число на календарике левее слова Tomorrow всегда соответствует завтрашней дате. Очень круто!

Sheduled. В “Расписание” попадают все задачи со сроком исполнения позже, чем завтра, включая повторяющиеся. Если из любого списка перетянуть задачу на Sheduled, то календарь всплывает автоматически и останется только выбрать нужную дату. Sheduled можно просматривать обычным списком и в виде календаря.

Режим календаря это претензия на киллер фичу, но, честно говоря, на полноценную замену тому же Гугл-календарю пока не тянет, особенно, если у вас, как и у меня, много повторяющихся задач.

В этом плане гораздо полезнее функция синхронизации Doit с Google Calendar. К тому же реализована она лучше, чем в RTM, где список задач отображается в отдельном окошке.

В Doit.im они отображаются как стандартные задачи гуглокалендаря.

Someday. Список “в один прекрасный день”, без дат и обязательств.

Waiting. Категория Ожидание, куда Doit.im автоматически перемещает задачи, которые вы отправили другим пользователям. Также задачи в Waiting можно создавать вручную и назначать им дату дедлайна. После наступления этой даты задача автоматически появится в вашем списке Today. Этот механизм я использую для всевозможных напоминаний.

Проекты в Doit.im
Проект в Doit.im это готовый инструмент — вам не придется ничего мудрить с тегами и спецсимволами, как в RTM. Если Боксы в Doit.im это универсальные категории времени, то Проекты используются для объединения задач с единой целью. Например, список Today это перечень всех сегодняшних задач из разных проектов, если же вы хотите сфокусироваться на каком-то одном, то нужно кликнуть по его названию возле задачи

или выбрать в списке проектов 1) При переходе на вкладку проекта, видно соотношение выполненных и оставшихся в нем задач. 2) К проекту можно добавлять описание, которое всегда будет перед глазами. Обычно я записываю туда ключевые цели и информацию по проекту.

3) Сортировку внутри проекта лучше всего делать по Боксам, в этом случае сразу понятно общее положение дел: какие задачи следующие, какие назначены на конкретную дату, а какие находятся в режиме ожидания.

Статус проекта в Doit.im можно быстро и легко изменять с «активного» на «неактивный» и обратно. Изменение статуса происходит в один клик (в отличие от Remember The Milk, где нужно каждый раз переходить в настройки сервиса и кликать раз сто).

В общем списке проектов отображаются только активные проекты. Кстати, проекты в нем сортируются по алфавиту, поэтому, чтобы поднять проект повыше, я иногда использую спецсимволы перед его названием.

Контексты и чеклисты
Контексты в Doit.im также выделены в отдельную категорию на левой панели.

Я не пользуюсь контекстами в классическом (GTD) определении, но нашел для этой функции иное применение. Я использую “контексты” Ежегодно, Ежемесячно, Еженедельно и Ежедневно для регулярно повторяющихся задач. Чем это удобно? Проще отделить рутину от нерегулярных задач. Например, утром работу со списком Today я начинаю с сортировки по контекстам. Получаю своеобразный чек-лист повторяющихся задач из различных проектов. Это позволяет сразу заметить, если на сегодня назначено какое-нибудь редкое (ежегодное) дело и не пропустить его.

Есть и другой тип чеклиста. Когда задачи не повторяются с четкой периодичностью, то я храню их перечень в заметках к задаче, например, список вещей, которые нужно взять на рыбалку.

Задачи и их особенности в Doit.im
Добавление задач. Быстро добавить новую задачу находясь во вкладке Doit.im можно с помощью горячей клавиши «N».

Самое приятное то, что клавиатурные сокращения работают в Doit.im даже в русской раскладке, в отличие от RTM.

Другой способ быстрого добавления задачи — клавиша «Q». Она вызывает меню быстрого ввода, которое поддерживает Smart-add, полюбившуюся многим RTM-функцию.

Однако самый быстрый из известных мне путь сбора задач в инбокс — сочетание Ctrl+Shift+N в Windows-клиенте. Независимо от активного приложения, нажатие Ctrl+Shift+N приводит к активации окошка, куда можно записать нужную мысль, нажать Enter и продолжить работу, почти не отвлекаясь. По большому счету, сам клиент у меня установлен только ради этой фичи.

Изменение срока задачи. Благодаря наличию всплывающего мини-календаря весь процесс выглядит более человечным (прописывать даты вручную, как в Remember The Milk, больше не нужно). Добавочная ценность календарика — можно посмотреть день недели интересующей даты. Во время просмотра списка Sheduled слева от задачи можно увидеть дату ее начала, а справа — сколько дней осталось до ее дедлайна.

Повтор задачи. И снова: параметры повторения не приходится прописывать вручную, что помогает избегать ошибок и более удобно в целом.Напоминания. Doit.im поддерживает напоминания на мыло, попапы и пуш в мобильных приложениях. В RTM этот список шире и включает бесплатные смс и работу с мессенджерами. Но с другой стороны, в Doit.im можно настроить напоминания для отдельной задачи, а в RTM — только массовые напоминания вида “за 5 минут до начала любой задачи”. Напоминания в Doit.im я использую только для самых важных задач — для подстраховки.

Приоритеты. Здесь разработчики Doit.im снова в точности скопировали RTM. Приоритета три: красный, синий, голубой. Быстро изменить приоритет помогает клавиша «P». Интересен может быть мой способ использования этой функции:1 приоритет. Я отмечаю им все задачи в боксе Waiting. Когда наступает дедлайн такой задачи и она появляется в моем Today, я сразу понимаю, что эта задача прибыла из Ожидания (т.к. она отмечена красным).2 и 3 приоритеты. Я использую эти приоритеты для отображения “калибра” задачи, условного времени ее выполнения. 3 приоритет я называю «задача-минута», а второй — «задача-час». Отметив таким образом все задачи в списке Today, я визуально лучше понимаю загруженность дня: сколько на сегодня задач, занимающих минуты, а сколько — часы.Теги. Еще один независимый способ классификации задач в Doit.im. Если в активном списке есть задачи с тегами, то облако тегов будет видно сверху списка. Я использую теги только для классификации задач в списке Someday: “купить”, “прочитать”, “найти” и т.д.Передай другому. Совместная работа реализована чуть лучше, чем в Remember The Milk, но все равно подходит разве что для отправки списка покупок. Задача, отправленная другому пользователю, перемещается в список Waiting. Удобно, что когда приходит новая задача, в центре уведомлений появляется заметное оповещение. Оно же появляется и в том случае, когда отправленную вами задачу завершают.Комментарии к задаче. К задаче можно добавлять комментарии. Я никакого применения этой функции не нашел, но теоретически это может сгодиться для хронологических записей, т.к. возле коммента видна дата его добавления.Описание задачи. Как я уже говорил, я использую описание для составления чеклистов или просто для добавления любой ценной информации по задаче. Описание можно просмотреть, наведя курсор на иконку блокнотика — мелочь, а приятно.

Любую задачу в Doit.im можно быстро сконвертировать в проект.Поиск. Поиск по словам в Doit.im мгновенный: вы вводите часть слова, и страница результатов моментально изменяется.

Есть и расширенный поиск, результаты которого, как и в RTM, можно сохранить в виде особых списков — Фильтров. Параметров для расширенного поиска в Doit.im хоть и немало, но все же не так много, как в RTM. Хотя большинству пользователей должно хватить с лихвой.

Я фильтрами почти не пользуюсь, разве что у меня есть фильтр для отображения всех незавершенных задач, которым не назначен ни проект, ни контекст.

Заключение
Клиенты для Doit.im есть под Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android и Web. Несколько слов об общем качестве: сервис китайский, но развивается. Апдейты выходят, новые функции добавляются, но косяки бывают.

Недавно версии продукта разделили на платную и бесплатную. Платная стоит $20 в год или 2$ в месяц и позволяет отсылать задачи в инбокс по мылу и синхронизировать мобильные клиенты с веб-версией в реальном времени (для бесплатной версии синхронизация раз в 24 часа).

Если бы меня попросили кратко сравнить Doit.im и Remember The Milk, то я бы вспомнил об автоматической и ручной коробках передач в автомобилях. Я предпочитаю автомат :)

Планирование и тайм-менеджмент на практике с Doit.im: loshakovvs

Вероятно, вы уже используете какое-либо приложение для планирования своих дел. Максимально ли оно удобно? Позволяет планировать большие проекты, расставлять приоритеты?В этом посте я расскажу о том, как я использую сервис Doit.im, один из ведущих сервисов по планированию задач и проектов, работающий на основе наиболее популярной и функциональной системы тайм-менеджмента Getting Things Done Дэвида Аллена.До этого сервиса я опробовал десятки других, и считаю его идеальным сочетанием простоты и функциональности.

Для начала давайте разберемся в системе тайм-менеджмента Getting Things Done.Одно из основных правил GTD: "То, что займет менее 2 минут на выполнение, делайте сразу."Так что эти задачи, в идеале, не должны доходить до планировщика.Дальше речь пойдет о том, как обращаться с остальными задачами.

Как использовать GTDУ каждой задачи в системе GTD есть несколько атрибутов: проект, контекст, теги и срок выполнения (такой атрибут как "цели" рассматривать тут не будем).

Атрибуты задачПроектыПроект - это любая задача, которая требует нескольких шагов для ее выполнения. Проект должен быть разбит на настолько мелкие задачи, чтобы при начале их выполнения у вас не возникало необходимости обдумывать, "как это сделать?".

Например, задача "Купить видеорегистратор" превратилась у меня в проект с тем же названием и уже включала в себя:- прочесть статьи на тему "Как выбрать видеорегистратор?"- определиться с характеристиками и ценой- выбрать несколько моделей на Яндекс.Маркет и создать список сравнения- определиться с моделью и местом покупки- запланировать покупку- купить видеорегистраторТ.к. в Doit.im справа от задачи будет отображаться название проекта, так что не надо в каждой задаче упоминать "видеорегистратор".

Заметьте, насколько подробно расписан проект. Такой пункт, как "запланировать покупку" очень важен, т.к. вряд ли покупка будет происходить сразу после выбора модели. Его отсутствие может привести к лишним размышлениям или бездействию в тот момент, когда надо лишь определить количество требуемого на покупку времени, контекст (в городе, либо интернет-магазине), наличие средств на покупку и в итоге прийти к:- присвоению следующей задаче даты и контекста;- появлению в календаре выделенного блока времени под эту задачу.

КонтекстыКонтексты нужны для группировки задач и блочного их выполнения. Объединяются задачи по принципу доступных вам ресурсов и местоположения.У меня созданы следующие контексты:Телефон. Задачи, не требующие ничего, кроме наличия телефона и мобильной сети. Обычно, это звонки)

Дом. Задачи, требующие не только ноутбука и интернета, но каких-либо предметов из дома/спокойной обстановки. Есть задачи, которые можно выполнить и используя заметки на телефоне, но я знаю, что качественно работа будет сделана только дома.

Интернет. Тут задачи для выполнения на ноутбуке при наличии интернета. На случай, если окажусь в заведении с Wi-Fi и будет нужно поработать.

Ноутбук. Можно выполнить без интернета, лишь при наличии ноутбука.Город. Все, что требует выхода из дома

Нефтеюганск. Тут все понятно)

У вас, возможно, есть и другие контексты: офис, университет, или другое место, где вы часто выполняете какие-либо задачи.В Doit.im возможно присвоить лишь один контекст каждой задаче.

ПриоритетЕсли задачу обязательно надо выполнить в день, на который она запланирована, поставьте ей высокий приоритет. Наоборот? - низкий.Я этой функцией пользуюсь в редких случаях, когда задача несколько раз отложена, но я понимаю, что пришло время ее выполнить.В течение для приоритеты заменяются функцией Doit Now, когда вы выбираете последовательность выполнения действий в течение дня и следуете ей.

ТегиПо системе GTD задачам присваиваются теги по продолжительности выполнения задачи.

У меня созданы теги 5min, 10min, 15min и 30min. При создании задачи оцените время, необходимое для выполнения задачи и внесите соответствующий тег. Когда у вас появятся 15 свободных минут, отфильтровав задачи по контексту и тегу, вы легко найдете, что полезного можно сделать прямо здесь и сейчас.Я использую теги не очень часто. В основном, это задачи без определенной даты выполнения, так что теги помогают разгрести часть отложенных дел при появлении свободных минут.

Папки по срокам выполнения

Теперь давайте разберемся с папками по срокам выполнения.

Входящие (Inbox)Сюда в системе GTD попадают все задачи, документы, письма, которые требуют принятия каких-либо мер.В Doit.im этот раздел используется для быстрого внесения задач, когда нет времени даже определить срок их выполнения.У меня это обычно происходит через телефонное приложение .Также во Входящие попадают задачи, отправленные на специальный e-mail, выданный вам для этих целей Doit.im. После регистрации сохраните его в книге контактов на всякий случай.Старайтесь избегать этой папки и чистить ее при первой возможности. Лучше сразу поставить себе задачу "<имя задачи> - запланировать" на определенный срок, чем оставить ее в Inbox.

Сегодня (Today)Задачи, которые нужно выполнить сегодня. Это раздел, в котором днем проходит контроль над выполнением задач.

Завтра (Tommorow) Здесь, очевидно, задачи, со сроком выполнения - завтра. Вечером полезно заглянуть туда, чтобы понять, что вас ожидает.

Запланировано (Scheduled) Здесь будут задачи, запланированные на другие дни и повторяющиеся задачи.

Следующие (Next) Задачи, которые нужно выполнить в ближайшее время без конкретно заданных сроков. Сюда автоматически попадают задачи при заполнении ими проектов.Как только вы выполнили все задачи на сегодня, приступите к выполнению задач из этой папки.По системе GTD в начале дня его необходимо спланировать, указав, сколько времени вы планируете потратить на каждую из задач. Так, если вы распланировали все задачи из папки "Сегодня", Doit.im предложит вам выбрать еще несколько задач из папки "Следующие".

Когда-нибудь (Someday) Задачи, которые не требуют спешки и не являются приоритетными, хотя вы считаете, что они должны быть выполнены.Поставьте себе повторяющуюся задачу "Просмотреть Someday" (у меня - еженедельная), чтобы чистить эту папку от уже неактуальных задач или переносить их в другие папки.

Планирование дняВ Doit.im есть функция планирования дня и отчета по его окончании. В настройках вы должны определить продолжительность рабочего дня и в его начале Doit.im предложит вам спланировать день - определить порядок выполнения задач и предположить, сколько времени займет выполнение каждой из задач. Если у вас останется свободное время, сервис предложит внести задачи из списка Next.

В конце дня вы сможете просмотреть сколько задач выполнено, проставить реальные затраты на их выполнение и написать отчет, поставив себе оценку за продуктивность. Пишите туда, что вы сделали хорошо, почему ваша продуктивность не была на высоте и как это можно исправить. Это очень полезная функция, если вы работаете над увеличением продуктивности, т.к. позже можно просмотреть все отчеты и сделать из них определенные выводы для изменения своего графика, отказа от плохих привычек (многозадачность, незапланированные прерывания и прочее).

Начните использовать GTDСистема GTD подразумевает, что вы не держите ни одну задачу у себя в голове, т.к. это отвлекает от самой работы над задачами. Все должно быть внесено в планировщик.Внесите туда все свои текущие проекты, разбив на маленькие задачи. Затем внесите туда повторяющиеся дела: оплата счетов и прочее. Сразу заполняйте контекст.Даже если вы просто натолкнулись на какую-нибудь идею, которую возможно, стоило бы реализовать, запишите себе задачу "запланировать ...".Когда я читаю какую-нибудь книгу и там дан совет, но я не готов приступить к его применению сейчас, я заношу его в планировщик. Для задач по личностному развитию у меня специально создан проект "Развитие".

В составе сервиса есть онлайн-версия, приложения для Windows, Mac, и приложения для устройств на ОС Android и iOS.Я использую онлайн-версию, как основную, закрепив вкладку в браузере Chrome, так что Doit.im открывается автоматически при запуске браузера. Установите компьютерную версию на случай, если интернет будет недоступен - предосторожность не повредит.Мобильная версия также очень удобна. Создайте виджет на рабочем столе, если у вас Android, и в шторке уведомлений, если iOS, для быстрого добавления задач в папку "Входящие", где бы вы ни находились.

Сервис имеет бесплатную и платную версии. Дополнение к статье про Doit.im. Личный опыт, сравнение, выбор / GTD / Betteri.ru

Сегодня ночью vizyonok написал к статье про Doit.im коммент, который вовсе и не коммент, а самый настоящий пост. Автор поделился опытом решения проблем с личной организацией, рассказал о внедрении таск-менеджмента в собственной компании, сделал сравнение сильных и слабых сторон Remember The Milk, Doit.im и других планировщиков. С удовольствием оформляем отдельным постом. Приблизительный размер ≈ 4 страницы. &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Пора и мне выйти из тени :)
I. Преамбула и хвалебные речи
Слежу за вашим сайтом уже месяцев 8. Читаю все комменты и статьи. Подписан на RSS. Очень полезный ресурс!

У меня проблема с таймменеджментом и организацией времени. И как оказалось, ещё и с организацией. А всё из-за того, что я записывал все идеи и задачи в блокнотик. Всё просто — новая задача, новая строка. Некоторые задачи выполнял и вычёркивал, периодически проводил ревизию файлика. Но всё-равно новые задачи появлялись быстрее старых.

А когда я понимал, что я в этот файл уже даже не заглядываю ниже 50 строки, то начинал новый. Нумеровал их просто и незамысловато — 1, 2, 3 и т.д. На сегодня у меня 4 файла и в первых трёх более чем по 1000 (!!!) строк.

И вот год назад у меня начался ступор. Новые задачи появлялись, а старые даже не хотелось и выполнять. Было бы ничего, если б у меня не своя компания. А в ней люди, которыми надо управлять, платить им ЗП и решать постоянные вопросы… а делать ничего не хочется. Задачи висят как ком над головой. Труба! Удручающее состояние.

Начались поиски решения. Сначала искал таск менеджеры. Перепробовал всё — Корову, Слона, MLO, Doit.im, Producteev, Toodledo, Astrid и ещё несколько других сервисов. Кстати, с коровой я знаком ещё с 2008 года. Тогда пробовали внедрить таск-менеджмент на её основе в компании, но она не прижилась. Постепенно пользование ею сходило на нет, а потом и вовсе перестали все заходить в неё. Весной я остановился на Слоне, примитивно перенеся все текстовые файлики с локальной машины в него :/

И так Гугл привёл меня на ваш ресурс. И оказалось, что проблема не в инструменте, который я так тщетно пытался найти! Проблема в методике! Её у меня просто не было.

Благодаря вам я узнал что такое GTD, что такое Agile Results. Посты YuraYu про «Свежее молоко» — для меня настольная книга! Они всегда в закладках в браузере, на планшете, в Pocket. А некоторые посты я перечитывал раз по 10! Для меня это как озарение 8D

Ещё раз хочу сказать всем вам, ребята, огромное спасибо за betteri!!!

II. А теперь, собственно, к сути топика.
Возжелал я и сам стать опытным GTD-шником, и внедрить затем эту методику до конца года в компании. А для этого нужен хороший таск менеджер, позволяющий работать легко и удобно не только мне, но и моим сотрудникам.

И вот к чему я пришлёл (ИМХО!)

1. Плюсы RTM:

— Конечно это гибкость! Его можно вертеть как угодно. Настроить такие списки, какие нужно. Ни один другой сервис не позволяет делать подобное.

— Скорость работы. Интерфейс того же Doit.im работает медленнее. Иногда меня это раздражает.

— Куча плагинов, стороннего софта, интеграций с сторонними сервисами. Только Toodledo может похвастаться подобным. Хотя основные моменты реализованы и в Doit.im — таски по мейлу, интеграция с Гугл календарём, мобильное приложение для Робота и Огрызка.

— Командная работа для меня реализована лучше, чем в Doit.im, т.к. можно расшаривать целый список другому юзеру.

2. Минусы RTM (из-за которых я попробую перейти на Doit.im):

— Тут правильно заметил комрад utiutio — это гиковость. Если работаешь сам в этой системе и рука набита, а глаз намётан, то проблем возникнуть не должно. Но для того, чтоб интегрировать систему в массы такое мало подходит. Элементарной вещи, как календаря, нет. У меня обязательно найдутся сотрудники, которые будут байкотировать из-за этого всю систему.

— Опять же, правильно говорит StanislavFalko , что разрабы RTM ну очень туги на подъем. Сделать с 2008 по 2012 год (время, когда я знаком с этой системой) сабтаски уже можно было. И голосование на их форуме не помогает даже с платным аккаунтом. Их логика для меня не ясна.

3. Другие товарищи

MLO не смотря на крутую систему сабтасков, которая важна для меня, не подходит из-за отсутствия совместной работы, которая важна ещё больше.

Toodledo как-то на понравился своей деревянностью и сложностью. Ещё и серостью :) Astrid, Google Tasks и дургие — слишком примитивны. Не отвечают требованиям GTD.

4. В начале лета попробовал посидеть в Doit.im. Его плюсы:

— Визуализация, которой не хватало в Корове. Можно перетаскивать таски (хотя это и решалось с плагином A Bit Better RTM, но в Doit.im при перетаскивании не только меняется папка размещения, но и автоматически меняются атрибуты таска в зависимости от папки), есть календарь, можно просто кликать мышкой наконец!

— Обновления идут такими темпами, что вскоре в этом сервисе будет реализовано всё, что только может придумать человек (ну эта тенденция, как я заметил, присуща многим китайским программам)

— Очень быстрая реакция на запросы от пользователей. Сам общался с саппортом. Реагируют на предложения и идеи очень шустро. А саппорт Коровы даже на своем форуме редко отвечает :(

— Уведомления при совместной работе. Сразу становится известно, что «Вася выполнил поручение, которое я ему дал»

— Проекты и контексты в добавок к тегам. Это не сабтаски, конечно, но уже хоть что-то.

— Есть описания к таскам и более удобная система комментов к ним.

— Не говорю уже про репорты, доступные для платной версии.

— Проекты можно делать как активными, так и ставить их на паузу, чтоб не мешали перед глазами.

— Возможно, что кто-то активно пользуется функцией «Do it now!» (синяя молния), но я пока не осознал все прелести этой штуки.

5. И минусы Doit.im (они же плюсы Коровы), из-за которых я так и не остался вначале лета на этом сервисе, отложив до лучших времён:

— Скорость работы. Доли секунд тормозов, но иногда раздражает. Надеюсь, что с появлением платной версии они вложат денежки в сервера и решат этот недочёт. Возможно, что сервис пока ориентирован только на две страны — Поднебесную и ПодБигмакную. Европа ещё в стороне.

— Лёгкая деревянность. Списки настраивать нельзя, а поисковых запросов не хватает. RTM тут нет равных. Но по идее, можно построить методику, которая будет выходить из того количества списков, которые есть. Я попробую экстраполировать систему «Свежее молоко» YuraYu на Doit.im. Вот сейчас борюсь с тем как отображать задачи дня и задачи недели в списке «Сегодня». А уж такая вещь, как отображение в списке «Сегодня» внизу тасков с инбокса, то это просто неисполнимое желание. Придётся постоянно заглядывать в инбокс в течение дня, что будет отвлекать :(

— Вот такой нет мелочи, как поле «URL» в атрибутах. Ссылку на документ или заметку Слона не поставишь.

— Чтоб отредактировать текст таска, надо сделать массу кликов. Дату, контекст, проект или тег можно поменять просто перетянув таск на соответствующую папку/категорию.

III. Итак, тадааааа! Подводим черту:
В связи с тем, что гиковость и аскетичность RTM может привести к байкотированию работы всей системы и отказу от внедрения GTD в нашем коллективе, буду пробовать внедрять более дружелюбную, но менее гибкую Doit.im. Буду внедрять и надеяться на то, что миллиардная армия жёлтых программистов на Дальнем Востоке вскоре допилит этот сервис и сделает из него ещё более удобный инструмент.

Во всяком случае, мои наблюдения за ним за последние 4 месяца внушают оптимизм, который я чуть было не потерял за 4 года дружбы с RTM. Похоже, что Doit.im — самый динамично развивающийся GTD-сервис сегодня.

А если кто дочитал до этих строк, тому низкий поклон! :) Может кто опровергнет мои слова или наоборот дополнит?

Q: How can I add a task in its full mode?

A: To add a task, simply tap on the “Add Task” icon top right and a page for adding a task will appear on the right. From here you can fill in your task details like its name, a brief description, whether it’s a next action, a deadline, a project, a context, priority, tag, repeat, reminders, and even delegation to a contact. Save it after you've set all you need and the task is created.

Q: How can I view the detailed information of a task?

A: Tap on the task you want to view and you'll get into the viewing page of that task. Also, you can directly edit the task in the viewing page.

Q: How can I edit a task?

A: Tap on a task in the tasks list and its editing page appears on the right.

Q: How can I delete a task?

A: There are three ways to delete a task:

1.Long press a task in the tasks list and you can delete it.

2.Slide left /right in a task bar and a red "Delete" button will appear.

3.Tap on a task in the tasks list and on the page that comes up on the right, you can see a “Trash” icon. Tap on it and you can delete the task

Start time and Deadline

Q: What's the usage of Start time?

A: It will guide the task into different boxes. And to modify the Start time of a repeated task may affect the repeat dates.

Q: What's the usage of Deadline?

A: Tasks with deadline will come to Today automatically on its due day. And Tasks whose deadline is near or past or just today will be marked clearly.

Q: How does a box affect its time?

A: Selecting a box will accordingly change the Start time of the task: Inbox: Start time not set;

Today: Start time set to today;

Tomorrow: Start time set to tomorrow;

Scheduled: Start time set to the day after tomorrow by default, and you can pick a date from the time picker;

Someday: Start time not set;

Waiting for: For tasks of Mine, Start time not set; for tasks Sent to others, Start time showing the one set when the task was sent, and unable to be changed.

Q: Where can I view the task when it's saved or sent?

Q: What if I choose all-day?

A: If you check all-day, you can only set date for Start time and Deadline, but not time; if you uncheck it, you can set both date and time for the two.

Q: Why can't I pick a specific time for a task?

A: Maybe all-day is checked for the task, which means you can just pick date but not time. If you want to set specific time, please uncheck all-day first.

Tags

Q: What's Tags?

A: Tasks with specific tags can be filtered out by tags. In Doit.im, you can at most add 5 tags for a single task.

Q: How can I add tags?

A: Tap on a task to open its editing page or tap on the “Add Task” icon to open the task adding page. There is a list of icons on the right. Tap on the “Tag” icon and the “Tags” windows will appear. At the bottom of that window, you can input and save a new tag.

Q: How can I filter tasks by tags?

A: Tasks can be filtered just from the current box.

Only tags used in tasks contained in the current box would be seen in the tag filter rows; by choosing more than one tag for filtering, you'll get tasks with both/all these tags. In the tasks list, tap on the "Tag" icon at the bottom bar and you’ll see the "Tags" page. On the “Tags” page, you can check a tag or multiple tags, and then tap on the “Filter” button at the top right. Lastly, tasks with the tag(s) you‘ve selected will be showed in front of you.

Q: How can I cancel or delete tags?

A: To cancel a tag in a task, tap on a task to open its editing page. In the editing page, tap on the tags you’ve added before and the “Tags” window appears. Uncheck the selected tag(s) in that window. After you save it, the tag(s) will be removed from the task.

To delete a tag, you can go to Tag Management (Preferences - Tag management) and delete the tag in Tag Management. This way, the tag will be deleted from the app, but it'll still be kept in existing tasks and can be filtered by. The web version is the only place you can delete tags.

Repeated Tasks

Q: How can I set or edit repeat strategy for a task?

A: You can set "Repeat" when adding Start time to a task.

Q: How can I move repeated tasks?

A: If you want to move just one occurrence of a repeated task, long press a task in the tasks list and the "Move to" button will appear or tap on a task to open its editing page and directly tap on the “Move to” box at the top right, by either of which you can move it from the boxes other than Scheduled to the targeted box, but If you want to move the whole repeated task, you can’t do it by "Move to" but just by editing its Start time in the “Edit task” page, or tapping on the checkbox to complete it or long pressing the task to delete it.

Q: How can I delete a repeated task?

A: Whether you want to delete the whole repeated task (which is the one in Scheduled) or just a single occurrence of the repeated task (which exists in a box other than Scheduled, eg, Today), you can long press the task to delete it or slide left/right in the task bar and a red “Delete” button will appear, on which you tap and can delete the task as well. Besides, you can tap the task to open its viewing page and there is a list of icons on the right. Tap on the “Trash” icon and you can delete the task.

Q: How can I complete a repeated task?

A: If you just want to complete a single occurrence of the repeated task (which exists in a box other than Scheduled, eg, Today), check the checkbox in front of the task and you can complete it; if you want to complete the whole repeated task, you need to go to Scheduled and check the checkbox in front of the repeated task there and no more occurrences of the task will be generated.

Q: What if I modify the Start time of a repeated task?

A: That may change, increase or decrease days when the task occurs.

Q: Why can't I modify the repeat strategy of a repeated task in boxes other than Scheduled?

A: In Doit.im, repeat strategy can only be modified in the parent task, which is just located in Scheduled. So please go to Scheduled if you want to modify the repeat strategy of a repeated task.

Q: Can I send repeated tasks?

A: Yes. And the task sent will go to the Waiting for box automatically and no longer generate future occurrences in your app.

Reminder Setting

Q: How can I set reminders?

A: When adding/editing a task, you can add at most 5 reminders in the way of popup. If a reminder is set, you'll get reminded on Web/iPhone/Android/Windows/Mac versions.

Q: How can I view several reminders that happen simultaneously?

A: The next reminder will soon appear after the previous one is closed.

Forwarded Tasks

Q: How can I forward a task?

A: Tap a task to open its viewing page and there is a list of icons on the right. Tap on the plane-shaped icon and in the page that comes up, check the contact(s) you want to send the tasks to and tap on “Send” at the top right.

You can't send tasks to a person who hasn't been added as a Doit.im contact and passed your contact application. (As for adding new contacts in Doit.im, please refer to "Contact" - "How can I add a contact?")

Q: What if I check the checkbox before Auto-complete in the “Send to” page?

A: Then, when the receiver completes the task, the task in your own app would go to Completed automatically at the same time you get the completion message.

Q: Why does task disappear from the current box after being sent to others?

A: Tasks sent go to the Waiting for box automatically, you can find it there.

Q: Will I receive system messages when the receiver complete or delete my task?

A: For a non-repeated task:

If the sent task is completed by the receiver, you'll get a completion message;

If your task is sent to more than one receiver, you'll get a completion message after each completes the task; and another one after all complete it;

If your task is deleted by the receivers, no message would be received.

For a repeated task:

You'll get messages when the whole repeated task is completed by the receivers, one for each, and still another when all complete it.

No message would be received if just a single occurrence is completed, or either one occurrence or the whole task is deleted.

Q: If I delete or complete the task before its receiver completes it, will he/she get any message?

A: When you complete or delete a non-repeated task or a whole repeated task, he/she'll receive a completion message; while no message will be received if you just complete or delete one occurrence of a repeated task.

Q: If I delete a task sent to others before the receiver completes it, will I still get a message when he/she completes it?

A: Yes, you will.

Subtask

Q: What's Subtask

A: In Doit.im, subtasks are a simple to-do list added under a task, which can describe the detailed steps that you do a task like the steps to make a cake, or make a record of the bill of materials like a shopping list.

Q: How can I add a subtask?

A: To add subtasks simply tap "Add a subtask" on the task edit page.

Q: How can I edit or delete or complete a subtask?

A: Check the checkbox in front of a subtask and it will go to Completed. Tap the existing subtask on the task viewing page and you can edit or delete it.

Q: As for completed subtasks, will they be lost when the task gets converted to a project?

A: No, it will make completed subtasks converted to completed tasks under the project.

Q: When a task gets converted to a project, where will the subtasks go?

A: Subtasks will be converted to tasks under the project.

Q: After a task on the client side gets converted to a project, why can't we see the tasks under the project immediately?

A: Now, the implementation of the "Convert a task to a project " feature is processed by our server. Therefore, online synchronization is needed after you convert a task to a project on the client side. The whole process just takes a few seconds as long as the local network works well. And when there is no network connection or no synchronization, it is a normal phenomenon that subtasks haven't been converted to tasks under the project yet.

Doit Now

Q: What is "Doit Now"?

A: "Doit Now" is a group located in Today box, which helps you quickly focus on tasks that can be done right now without the interruption of today's other tasks.

Q: How can I assign tasks to the “Doit Now” group?

A: In Today box or Next box, tap on the icon at the bottom right of the tasks list and there will appear the lightning-shaped icon in the front of each task bar. Tap on that icon and you can assign tasks to the “Doit Now” group.

Q: Can I manually sort tasks?

A: Now only in the “Doit Now” group can you manually sort tasks. In Today box, tap on the icon at the bottom right of the tasks list and there will appear an icon on the right of each task in the “Doit Now” group. Tap on that icon and you can manually sort the tasks.

Group by

Q: How can I group the tasks?

A: You can group them by Priority, Context, Project and Time.

Task Sorting

Inbox, No Context, No Project: tasks are sorted by Update time in descending order

Calendar: tasks are sorted by Start time (in ascending order) – Priority (in descending order) – Deadline (in ascending order) – Update time (in ascending order)

Completed: tasks are sorted by Complete time in descending order

Trash: tasks are sorted by Delete time in descending order

Other boxes: tasks are sorted by Priority (in descending order) – Deadline (in ascending order) – Start time (in ascending order) – Update time (in ascending order)

Projects

Q: What's Project?

A: A project is a multi-step task, composed of a series of related actions.

Q: How can I add a new project?

A: There are two ways for you to create a new project.

1.Create a new project when adding/editing a task. Tap on the “Add Task” icon at the top right or tap on a task in the tasks list and there will be a page appearing on the right for you to add or edit a task. On that page, tap on the “Project” icon and the “Project” window opens. At the bottom of the “Project” window, you can create a new project.

2.Created a new project by tapping on the “New Project” icon. Tap on “Projects” in the left-side menu and the “Projects” page appears. Tap on the “New Project” icon at the top right and in the page that comes up on the right, you can add a new project and save it.

Q: How can I convert a task to a project?

A: Tasks sent from you or tasks with projects already cannot be converted into a project,

In the task list, long press a task and then select “As project”.

Q: How can I edit/delete a project?

A: Tap on “Projects” in the left-side menu and it goes to the “Projects” page, in which long press a project and you can edit or delete it.

In Doit.im for iPad, there is a second way for you to edit/delete a project. Tap on “Projects” in the left-side menu and the “Projects” page appears. On that page, tap to unfold a project and there will appear the “Details and Edit” button, on which you tap and it will go to the project editing page. On that page, you can edit the project or tap on the “Trash” icon to delete it.

To delete a project, there is a third way. Slide right/left in the project bar and a red “Delete” button will appear, on which you tap and can also delete the project as well.

Q: What are active Projects and inactive Projects?

A: If you set Today (which means the project starts from today or before today) or Next as the project’ start time, it will be an Active project by default. If you set Scheduled (which means the project will start from tomorrow or after tomorrow) or Someday as the project’ start time, it will be an Inactive project by default.

Q: Can I deactivate an active Project?

A: Yes, you can. Just do as follows:

1.Deactivate a project by long pressing it and then tapping on “Deactivate”. And its start time will also be changed.

2.Deactivate a project by directly changing its start time. As long as you change its start time into Tomorrow, Scheduled or Someday, it will be an inactive project. And when it expires, it will be activated automatically.

3.Deactivate a project in its editing page. There is the “Deactivate” icon in project editing page.

Q: Can I activate an inactive Project?

A: Yes, you can. Just do as follows:

1.Activate a project by long pressing it and then tapping on “Activate”. And its start time will also be changed.

2.Activate a project by directly changing its start time. As long as you change its start time into Today or Next, it will be an active project.

3.Activate a project in its editing page. There is the “Activate” icon in project editing page.

Q: I am unable to add a repeated task to a project. It always warned me "Oops, task adding failed. The time period of this task is beyond that of the project it. Please adjust."

A: Please make sure that Endtime of the repeated task is not beyond Deadline of the project.

Q: Can the projects be sorted alphabetically?

A: Yes, the projects are sorted alphabetically by default.

Goal

Q: What's Goal?

A: Any outcome that's going to require more than one item, in some sequence of tasks and projects in order to be able to achieve that outcome, that's a goal. Both tasks and projects can be assigned to a goal. Once added to a goal, tasks will go to Next by default. You can see all tasks/projects included the goal when you unfold it. In addition, you can complete all tasks/projects by completing the goal they belong to.

Q: How can I add a new goal?

A: To add a new goal, first open the goals list by tapping on "Goals" in the left-side menu and then tap on the "Add Goal" icon at the top right corner. In the page that comes up, you can add a new goal and save it. Besides, you can create a new goal on the task editing page.

Q: How can I set a goal to a task/project?

A: You can assign a goal to a task/project. Go to the task/project editing page, tap the "Goal" icon on the rightmost panel, and select a goal.

Q: How can I edit or delete a goal?

A: Long press a goal on the goals list and you can delete it. To edit a goal, open a goal and tap "Details and Edit".

Q: How can I remove a goal from a task/project?

A: Go to the task/project editing page and set "None" to the "Goal" field.

Contexts

Q: What's Context?

A: Everything is done in a special place or under a certain circumstance, and that PLACE or CIRCUMSTANCE is called Context in our app. So you can add tasks with certain contexts and view the tasks with the same context together. For example, when you're at home, you just want to see tasks to do at home, so you just click "Home" context and can be focused on these tasks.

Q: How can I add a new context?

A: Create a new context when adding/editing a task. Tap on the “Add Task” icon at the top right or tap on a task in the tasks list and there will be a page appearing on the right for you to add or edit a task. On that page, tap on the “Context” icon and the “Context” window opens. At the bottom of the “Context” window, you can create a new context.

Q: How can I edit /delete a context?

A: Now, you cannot edit a context but can delete a context. Tap on “Contexts” in the left-side menu and the “Contexts” page appears, in which long press a context and you can delete it.

Q: Can the contexts be sorted alphabetically?

A: Yes, the contexts are sorted alphabetically by default.

Archiver

Q: What's Archiver?

A: You can archive completed tasks to Archiver, which is divided into Weekly Archiver and Monthly Archiver, so that it would be convenient for you to write your weekly/monthly report, etc. Tasks completed 30 days ago will be archived automatically. Besides, when there are more than one hundred tasks in Completed, they will be archived automatically as well. And now you can view your archived tasks only in the web version.

Q:How can I archive my tasks?

A: Tap on Completed box in the left-side menu. Q: How can I empty the trash?

A: Click the empty button at upper right and then click "ok" can empty the trash. This operation is irreversible, please consider carefully before operation.

Q: Why can't I find the tasks I deleted 30 days ago?

A: Now, tasks deleted 30 days ago will be automatically emptied.

Synchronization

Q: How does tasks sync among all versions?

A: iPad version for free: Manual sync can be triggered once only within 24 hours by tapping on the “Sync” icon at the bottom right.

Note: when you login, it will load the data from the Server, so it also occupies the sync chance we provided for free accounts.

For example: The last sync/login happened at 23:30 today, and the next manual sync could be triggered after 24 hours.

iPad version for Pro: Almost syncs automatically in real time, and you can manually sync anytime by tapping on the “Sync” icon at the bottom right.

Q: How can I make events on Google Cal synchronized to Doit.im?

A: Click on the “G” icon at the bottom right can make events on Google Cal synchronized to Doit.im. (If your account hasn't been linked to Google Cal yet, please sign into Doit.im for Web and link to it in Preferences.)

Q: What is Sync Log?

A: Click on "Settings" and then "Sync Log", in which you will know the information of sync request. And information of some errors will also appear here. When an error takes place, please send Sync Log to us, which will help us find the cause of it more quickly.

Q: Is Offline mode supported in Doit.im?

A: Yes, it is supported on Doit.im for iPad as long as you remain login before disconnecting from the network. And the added or changed data will be saved locally. Once there is network connection, data will be synced with other platforms.

A: Tap a task to open its viewing page and there is a list of icons on the right. Tap on the “Comment” icon and you’ll see a box in the viewing page, in which you can input a comment.

A: Sorry, a comment can be neither modified nor deleted once posted, so please be careful when you write the comment and try to re-check it before you post it. If you find there is something wrong in your posted comment, you can add a new comment to correct the old one.

Q: Can I change date format?

Q: How can I add a task in its full mode?

A: To add a task simply click the "+ Add Task" icon at the bottom left. The "Add Task" dialogue will appear. From here you can fill in your task details like its name, a brief description, whether it’s a next action,a deadline,a project,a context,priority, tag,repeat,reminders and even delegation to a contact. Save it after you've set all you need and the task is created.

Q: How can I add tasks successively?

A: Smart-add box can be called by the shortcut combination, “Ctrl +Alt +N”. In Smart-add box,you can add a task title, start time,project,context,priority,tag. By this way,you can add tasks successively.

Q: How can I view the detailed information of a task?

A: Double click a task on the list to view task details.

Q: How can I edit a task?

A: There are two ways provided you to edit a task:

A: Selecting a box will accordingly change the Start time of the task:

Inbox: Start time not set;

Today: Start time set to today;

Scheduled: Start time set to the day after tomorrow by default, and you can pick a date from the time picker;

Someday: Start time not set;

Q: What's the usage of Description?

A: Detailed info about the task can be added in Description. Double click the task on the list you can view its description. URLs in Description are clickable.

Priority

Q: What is Priority?

A: Priority performs an important role when you start doing your tasks. Now,we have four priorities,None,Low,Medium and High. You can set it when editing a task or right click a task on the list and assign a priority to it.

Tag

Q: What's Tags?

A: Tasks with specific tags can be filtered out by tags. In Doit.im, you can at most add 5 tags for a single task.

Q: How can I add tags?

A:There are four ways to delete a task:

1.When you add/edit a task,click the Tag tab and you can type a new tag and Enter to save it.

2.In the status bar, right click on the Doit.im icon and then select “New Tag”. In the dialog that comes up, you can input a new tag and save it.

Q: How can I remove tag(s) from a task?

A: When you edit a task, click “X” on the right of the Tag field and you can remove all the tags from the task.

Q: How can I delete a tag?

A: To delete a tag, you can go to Tag Management (Preferences - Tag management) and delete the tag in Tag Management. This way,the tag will be deleted from the app,but it'll still be kept in existing tasks and can be filtered by. The web version is the place you can delete tags.

Repeat Tasks

Q: How can I set repeat strategy for a task?

A: You can see the “Repeat” tab when adding/editing a task,then set the repeat strategy as Daily\Weekly\Weekday\Monthly \Yearly which will go to the Scheduled box. And the repeat strategy will also generate repeat instance go to the Today box or Tomorrow box in the corresponding.

Q: How can I set the end time of repeat strategy?

A: In the Edit repeat strategy page, click "End on" button to enter the calendar to select a date, click "Save" button to save. The end time of repeat strategy is for the entire repetition period,when the end time expires the repeat instance will no longer be generated.

Q: How can I delete a repeated task?

A: Whether you want to delete the whole repeated task (which is the one in Scheduled) or just a single occurrence of the repeated task (which exists in a box other than Scheduled, eg, Today), you can right click on the task to delete it or directly drag the task and drop it into the Trash.

Q: How can I complete a repeated task?

A: If you just want to complete a single occurrence of the repeated task (which exists in a box other than Scheduled, eg, Today), check the checkbox in front of the task or drag and drop it into Completed and you can complete it;if you want to complete the whole repeated task,you need to go to Scheduled and check the checkbox in front of the repeated task there or just drag and drop it into Completed,and no more occurrences of the task will be generated.

Q: What if I modify the Start time of a repeated task?

A: That may change,increase or decrease days when the task occurs.

Q: why do I set up the daily repeat, repeat task only generated in Today and Tomorrow ?

A: Currently only on the day of the repeat task generation and the day before,the repeat strategy generated repeated instances in Today and Tomorrow.

Q: Why can't I modify the repeat strategy of a repeated task in boxes other than Scheduled?

A: In Doit.im,repeat strategy can only be modified in the parent task,which is just located in Scheduled. So please go to Scheduled if you want to modify the repeat strategy of a repeated task.

Q: Can I send repeated tasks?

A: Yes. And the task sent will go to the Waiting for box automatically and no longer generate future occurrences in your app.

Reminder

Q: How can I set reminders?

A: When adding/editing a task, you can add at most 5 reminders in the way of popup. If you want to see pop-up 10 minutes before the start of the task,you can select "10 minutes ahead".

Q:How can I close the reminder?

A:When the reminder pop up,click " OK " button to close the reminder.

Q: How can I set up a reminder email?

A: The web version is the only place you can set up a reminder email.

Q: Why do I set up a reminder but can not receive the email reminder?

A: Doit.im will send you a reminder email only when the task has set up a reminder email.

Forwarded Tasks

Q: How can I forward a task?

A: Click on the "Send to" tab when you edit the task or the "send to" button when you view the task,and then select a contact that you want to send the task to and send it.

If you click on the"Auto-complete",then the task will go to the "Completed"box automatically when the receiver completes the task.Then click on “Send”tab,and your contact will receive the task.

You can't send tasks to a person who hasn't been added as a Doit.im contact and passed your contact application.

Q: Why does task disappear from the current box after being sent to my contact?

A: Tasks sent go to Waiting box automatically, you can find them there. You can also view the tasks below corresponding contacts in the web version.

Q: Will I receive system messages when the receiver complete or delete my task?

A: For a non-repeated task:

If the sent task is completed by the receiver, you'll get a completion message;

If your task is deleted by the receiver, no message would be received.

For a repeated task:

You'll get messages when the whole repeated task is completed by the receiver.

No message would be received if just a single occurrence is completed, or either one occurrence or the whole task is deleted.

Q: If I delete or complete the task before its receiver completes it, will he/she get any message?

A: When you complete or delete a non-repeated task or a whole repeated task,he/she'll receive a completion message;while no message will be received if you just complete or delete one occurrence of a repeated task.

Q: If I delete a task sent to my contact before the receiver completes it,will I still get a message when he/she complete it?

A: Yes, you will.

Q: What if I check the checkbox before Auto-complete in the “Send to” page?

A: When the receiver completes the task,the task in your own app would go to Completed automatically at the same time you get the completion message.

A: Comment can write down the status of the task at any time and provide a communication channel between you and your contact.

Both tasks and projects can be assigned to a goal. Once added to a goal, tasks will go to Next by default. You can see all tasks/projects included the goal when you unfold it. In addition, you can complete all tasks/projects by completing the goal they belong to.

Q: How can I add a new goal?

A: There are two ways to add a new goal:

1.In the status bar, right click on the Doit.im icon and then select “New Goal”. In the dialog that comes up, you can input a new goal and save it.

A: To add subtasks simply click "Add a subtask" on the view task page and Enter to save it.

Q: How can I edit or delete a subtask?

A: Double click the existing subtask you can edit it and press Enter or click other subtasks to save it. Click on the Delete button to delete a subtask on the right side of the list.

Q: How can I complete a subtask?

A: Check the checkbox in front of a subtask and it will go to Completed.

Q: Can I see subtasks on the list?

A: Yes,you can. An identifier is shown on the task bar if there are subtasks in the task. Click it and you'll see the subtasks and you can also complete them by checking the checkbox in front of them.

Q: As for completed subtasks, will they be lost when the task gets converted to a project?

A: No,it will make completed subtasks converted to completed tasks under the project.

Group by

Q: How can I group the tasks?

Q: What's Archiver?

A: Yes,you can. Click on the Settings button on the right side when you view the Collection Trigger to redefine it. You can add, edit, and delete the Collection Trigger on the redefine page.

Add themes: Click on the '+' button at the bottom, it will add a line at the bottom of the existing list.You can add up to 100 themes. A single topic can enter up to 50 characters.

Edit themes: Double-click a theme can be edited on it. A single topic can enter up to 50 characters.

Q: I have gotten everything out of my mind and then what can I do?

A: Congratulations! Now, it’s time to process “Stuff”. Click the “Process” button on the bottom and it will go to the "Process" page. Then you can process your tasks one by one. Tasks will be shown by their creation time. The first created task will be the first one shown in front of you on the "Process" page.

On the “Process” page, you can do:

  1. Finish two-minute actions and check them off

  2. Delete task

  3. Send task to contact(s)

  4. Add comment(s)

  5. Edit task

  6. Convert multi-step task into project and add actions

  7. Add subtask(s)

Q: How can I convert a task to a project on the “Process” page?

A: On the “Process” page, click on the “Convert to project” button, and the task you are processing now will be come a project. If there are subtasks under the task,subtasks will become tasks under the project. After the task is converted to a project,you will go to the view page of the project.

On the view page,you can add to-dos under the project. When you have no more to-dos added to the project,just click"Process Next"at bottom right and you will come back to the "Process" page. If there are no more tasks needing to be processed,the "Process" mode automatically exits.

Q: How can I send a task to my contact(s) on the “Process” page?

A: On the “Process” page, click the “Send to” button and it will show you a list of contacts,on which the three most frequently contacted person appear on the top. Select one contact and click the "Send" button.After the task is sent,the next task that needs to be processed is presented in front of you. If there are no more tasks,the "Process" mode

automatically exits.

Q: How can I edit a task on the “Process” page?

A: On the “Process” page, click on the “Edit” button and the edit page will appear. After the changes are saved,the next task that needs to be processed is presented in front of you. If there are no more tasks,the "Process" mode automatically exits.

Q: How can I delete a task on the “Process” page?

A: The app is able to remember the last task that you process before you leave the “process” page.

A: We can select a context to just view tasks that we can do under it.

Q: How can I manage my projects?

A: When processing, you must convert multi-step tasks into projects. There are active projects and inactive projects,and the projects can be sorted manually.

About active projects:

In any of active projects, first identify its next actions, which could help you complete much quicker. You can also add tasks to the active project and their default start time is Next.

About inactive projects:

If you don’t want to start the project and have no idea about when to start it, you can set Someday to its start time.When the time is ripe for action,you can activate it then.

Q: Can I set repeat strategy for some regular cycle of tasks?

A: Yes,you can. When adding/editing a task,you can see the “Repeat” tab then set the repeat strategy as Daily\Weekly \Weekday\Monthly\Yearly which will go to the Scheduled box. And the repeat strategy will also generate repeat instance go to the Today box or Tomorrow box in the corresponding date. Check the checkbox in front of the task to complete the task in every repeat cycle.

Q: Can I set reminder(s) to a task to avoid miss something important?

A: When adding/editing a task, you can add at most 5 reminders in the way of pop-up. If you want to see pop-up 10 minutes before the start of the task,you can select “10 minutes ahead”. Or you can set up the specific time remind.(Note: repeat strategy unable to set specific time remind)

Q: What's the usage of Tags?

A: Tasks with specific tags can be filtered out by tags. In Doit.im, you can at most add 5 tags for a single task. Tasks can be filtered just from the current box. Click the Tag icon at bottom right. By choosing more than one tag for filtering, you'll get tasks with both/all these tags.

Q: What's the usage of Priority?

A: Priority performs an important role when you start doing your tasks. Now,we have four priorities,None,Low,Medium and High. You can set it when editing a task or right click a task on the list and assign a priority to it.

Q: How can I set a time for my daily plan?

A: 1.For the first time you get into the app after it is updated, you will get a dialogue box asking you to set a time for your daily plan.

2.You can go to the “Settings” page by clicking on the gear-shaped icon at the top left,select " Plan & Review "to modify it.

Directly input the number or use the up/down arrow on the keyboard and you can change the time.Each task can set up 8 hours at most,if you are expected to exceed 8 hours, then you should consider to refine this task.

Q: When I finish today’s planing but find that are still some time left today, what can I do next?

A: Click “Time permits? Get more to do from Next.”on the bottom of the “Daily Plan” page and tasks in Next box will appear in “Group by Project” mode. Click the gray star and the task will go to Today.

Q: Is there any possibility to make tasks in Today go to Next when I do my daily plan?

A: Yes. Click the yellow star and the task will go to Next.

Q: What if I click the gray star in Today?

A: The task will still stay in Today but with its start time becoming today and the gray start turns yellow, which means it is a task in Today, not an overdue task.

Q: I want to know more about the task so that I can make a more accurate time estimation of it.Can I see more details about the task?

A: Yes, you can. Double clicking the task bar will bring you to task details.And if you want to come back to the “Daily Plan” page, click the “Back” button at upper left.

Q: Can I drag and drop a task on the “Daily Plan” page?

A: No, you can’t.

Q: How can I save my daily plan?

A: Click “Done” at bottom right and your daily plan will be saved. Meanwhile,it will come back to Today box.

Q: Is Offline mode supported in Doit.im?

A: Yes, it is supported on Doit.im for Windows as long as you remain login before disconnecting from the network. And the added or changed data will be saved locally. Once there is network connection, data will be synced with other platforms.

Q: How do I solve error 1722 that occurred during the installation of Doit.im for Windows?

A: When the installer of Doit.im for Windows encountered error 1722, please refer to the solution as below:

1.Please use IE browser to open the link, click Run immediately. It can fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled. Then try to install the Windows version.

2.Check if the Installer Service is running. To do so, follow these steps.

Q: How can I add a task in its full mode?

A: To add a task simply click the "Add Task" icon at the top left of the screen. The "Add Task" dialogue will appear.

From here you can fill in your task details like its name, a brief description, whether it’s a next action, a deadline, a project, a context, priority, tag, repeat, reminders, and even delegation to a contact.

Save it after you've set all you need and the task is created.

Q: How can I add tasks successively?

A: Click the quick-add box (with a hint in it: Tap to add, return to continue) or press "Q" on the keyboard to open the quick-add box. In the “quick-add” box, add contents and enter/return. By this way you can add tasks successively.

A: Click on the"batch add" button beside the quick-add box (with a hint in it: Tap to add, return to continue), then the batch add input box will pop up.

In the batch add input box, you can input text. Each task ends with a RETURN, while supporting the Smart Add resolution. After adding successfully, the tasks display to the corresponding task list. When one or more tasks add failed, tasks will remain in the add input box.

Q: How can I select more than one task in the web version?

A: To select more than one task, hold "Shift" or "Ctrl" on the keyboard and then click the tasks you want to select.

Tags can be seen at the Tag Filter row at the bottom only when they are used in tasks of the current box. So tasks can be filtered just from the current box.

Q: How can I cancel or delete tags?

A: To cancel a tag in a task, you can go to the task editing page and click "X" on the "Tags" field to delete the tag(s), and then save the task.

To delete a tag, you can go to Tag Management (Preferences - Tag management) and delete the tag in Tag Management. By this way, the tag will be deleted from the app, but it'll still be kept in existed tasks and can be filtered by. The web version is the only place you can delete tags.

Q: How can I move repeated tasks?

A: If you want to move just one occurrence of a repeated task, you can drag it from the boxes other than Scheduled and drop it into the targeted box.

If you want to move the whole repeated task, you can drag it from Scheduled and drop it into Completed and Trash.

If you want to move the whole repeated task to other boxes except Completed and Trash, you can’t do it by dragging and dropping but just by editing its Start time in the editing page.

Q: How can I delete a repeated task?

A: Whether you want to delete the whole repeated task (which is the one in Scheduled) or just a single occurrence of the repeated task (which exists in a box other than Scheduled, eg, Today), you can right click on the task to delete it or directly drag the task and drop it into the Trash.

Q: How can I complete a repeated task?

A: If you just want to complete a single occurrence of the repeated task (which exists in a box other than Scheduled, eg, Today), check the checkbox in front of the task or drag and drop it into Completed and you can complete it.

If you want to complete the whole repeated task, you need to go to Scheduled and check the checkbox in front of the repeated task there or just drag and drop it into Completed, and no more occurrences of the task will be generated.

Q: What if I modify the Start time of a repeated task?

A: That may change, increase or decrease days when the task occurs.

Q: Why can't I modify the repeat strategy of a repeated task in boxes other than Scheduled?

A: In Doit.im, repeat strategy can only be modified in the parent task, which is just located in Scheduled. So please go to Scheduled if you want to modify the repeat strategy of a repeated task.

Q: Can I send repeated tasks?

A: Yes. And the task sent will go to the Waiting box automatically and no longer generate future occurrences in your app.

Reminder

Q: How can I set reminders?

A: When adding/editing a task, you can add at most 5 reminders in the way of popup. You can select a reminder for " pop-up " or " email ". If you want to see pop-up 10 minutes before the start of the task, you can select "10 minutes ahead".

Q: How can I close the reminder?

A: When the reminder pop up, click " OK " button to close the reminder.

Q: How can I change the Email to receive task reminders?

A: Go to"Preferences - Reminder Setting", input the new email address,and then click on "Send Confirmation Link" and go to confirm the link after inputting the new email address, or, task reminders would still be sent to the previously confirmed mailbox.

Q: How can I view the contact list?

A: Click on the contacts icon at upper right.

Q: May I add a contact?

A:Sure you may. Click on the “+” button at the bottom of the contact list and select “New Contact…”, input your contact’s email address in the pop-up dialogue and click “OK”. You may send tasks to each other just after his/her approval on your application.

Q: May I edit my contact’s information?

A: Sure you may. Hover your mouse cursor over a contact and a gear-shaped icon will appear. Click to select “Edit”, you may modify your contact’s nickname, phone, birthday and note.

Q: How can I delete a contact?

A: Hover the mouse cursor over a contact and a gear-shaped icon will appear. Click on that icon and select “Delete”, click “OK” on the pop-up warning to confirm your operation.

Q: May I view tasks sent to or from my contacts?

A: Sure you may. Select a contact, all related tasks between you two can be found on the left side of the contact list.

Q: How can I forward a task?

A: Click the "Assign to" icon at the bottom of the editing page, and input a receiver's email or nickname and enter/return, then one receiver has been added.

If you click on the"Auto-complete",then the task will go to the "Completed"box automatically when the receiver completes the task.Then click on “Send”tab,and your contact will receive the task.

You can't send tasks to a person who hasn't been added as a Doit.im contact and passed your contact application.

Q: Why does task disappear from the current box after being sent to others?

A: Tasks sent go to the Waiting box automatically, you can find it there; In the web version, you can also view the task by clicking the contact on the contacts list.

Q: Will I receive system messages when the receiver complete or delete my task?

A: For a non-repeated task:

If the sent task is completed by the receiver, you'll get a completion message;

If your task is deleted by the receivers, no message would be received.

For a repeated task:

You'll get messages when the whole repeated task is completed by the receivers.

No message would be received if just a single occurrence is completed, or either one occurrence or the whole task is deleted.

Q: If I delete or complete the task before its receiver completes it, will he/she get any message?

A: When you complete or delete a non-repeated task or a whole repeated task, he/she'll receive a completion message; while no message will be received if you just complete or delete one occurrence of a repeated task.

Q: If I delete a task sent to others before the receiver completes it, will I still get a message when he/she completes it?

A: Yes, you will.

Q: What if I check the checkbox before Auto-complete?

A: Then, when the receiver completes the task, the task in your own app would go to Completed automatically at the same time you get the completion message.

A: Comment can write down the status of the task at any time and provide a communication channel between you and your contact. You can at most add 1024 characters to a comment.

A: On the task details page, click"Add a comment".

A: Sorry, a comment can be neither modified nor deleted once posted, so please be careful when you write the comment and try to re-check it before you post it.

A: We have four ways for you to create a new project:

Q: Can I deactivate an Active Project?

A: Yes, you can. Here are three ways for you to deactivate a project:

1.You can activate an inactive project by directly changing its start time. As long as you change its start time into Today or Next, it will be an active project.

Q: Can the projects be sorted manually?

A: Yes, you can drag items to manually adjust the project in the order of the list.

Q: Can the projects be sorted by Alphabet?

A: Yes, click on the top right corner of the Preference, in the drop-down menu select "Sort Projects: by Alphabet" button. Note that if the projects are sorted by Alphabet, then the position of manually sorted before will be reset.

Goal

Q: What's Goal?

A: Any outcome that's going to require more than one item, in some sequence of tasks and projects in order to be able to achieve that outcome, that's a goal. Both tasks and projects can be assigned to a goal. Once added to a goal, tasks will go to Next by default. You can see all tasks/projects included the goal when you unfold it. In addition, you can complete all tasks/projects by completing the goal they belong to.

Q: How can I add a new goal?

A: Click the triangle next to the "+" button and select the "New Goal". In the dialogue that pops up, you can add a new goal.

Q: How can I set a goal to a task/a project?

A: You can assign a goal to a task/project. Directly drag a task/project and drop it to the targeted goal, or right click a task/project on the tasks or projects list and select a goal.

A: Everything is done in a special place or under a certain circumstance, and that PLACE or CIRCUMSTANCE is called Context in our app. So you can add tasks with certain contexts and view the tasks with the same context together. For example, when you're at home, you just want to see tasks to do at home, so you just click "Home" context and can be focused on these tasks.

Q: How can I add a new context?

A: We have three ways for you to create a new context:

1.Click the triangle next to the "+" button and select the "New Context". In the dialogue that pops up, you can add a new context.

2.You can add a new context when creating or editing a task.

A: In Doit.im, subtasks are a simple to-do list added under a task, which can describe the detailed steps that you do a task like the steps to make a cake, or make a record of the bill of materials like a shopping list.

A: Click on the title of the task, enter the task detail page. Click “Add a subtask” and press Enter/Return to save it.

Q: How can I edit a subtask?

A: Just click on a certain subtask and edit, and as long as you press Enter/Return, it is saved.

Q: How can I delete a subtask?

A: Right click on the subtask to “Delete” it.

Q: As for completed subtasks, will they be lost when the task gets converted to a project?

A: No, it will make completed subtasks converted to completed tasks under the project.

Q: When a task gets converted to a project, where will the subtasks go?

A: Subtasks will be converted to tasks under the project.

Q: Can the subtasks be sorted manually?

A: Yes, you can drag items to manually adjust the subtask in the order of the list.

Doit Now

Q: What is "Doit Now"?

A: "Doit Now" is a group located in Today box, which helps you quickly focus on tasks that can be done right now without the interruption of today's other tasks. Click on the Pop-up list button, an independent widow is just for the “Doit now" tasks.

Q: Where can I set "Doit Now"?

A: In the Today box, when you tap the lightening-shaped icon on the right of a task, the task will go to “Doit now”. In the Next box, when you tap the lightening-shaped icon, the task will disappear from the Next group and go to Today under “Doit now”. In the “Doit Now” group you can sort tasks.

Q: How can I group the tasks?

A: Click the lower right corner of the task list, you can group them by Priority, Context, Project and Time.

Search

Q: Since there are always so many tasks in Doit.im, may I search to find the tasks I need immediately?

A: Sure. Click on the "Search" icon at the top, enter your keywords in the search box to start global search, tasks containing the keywords both in their titles or descriptions will appear.

Filters

Q: What are custom boxes?

A: Custom boxes, which are called filters in Doit.im, are boxes that can be defined with various filters by users. Now they can be added on the web version and the mac version, and viewed on other platforms.

Q: How can I add a filter?

A: To add a new filter on the web version, click “Advanced” next to the search box in the header. At the filter dialogue you can put in information like the status of the task, priority, a deadline, the context or project. By clicking “+” /”-” on the right, you can add or minus a filter condition. You can even sort and group the tasks by a number of attributes. After you have set all the filter conditions you can give it a name and save it.

Archiver

Q: What's Archiver?

A: You can archive completed tasks to Archiver, which is divided into Weekly Archiver and Monthly Archiver, so that it would be convenient for you to write your weekly/monthly report, etc.

Q: Where can I view my archived tasks?

A: Now you can view your archived tasks only in the web version. In the completed box, click on the button at the top right corner to view archived tasks.

Q: How can I archive my tasks?

A: There are two ways to archive tasks:

  • Automated archiving: When there are more than one hundred tasks in Completed, they will be archived automatically.

  • Manual archiving: In the completed box, click on the “Archive” icon at the top right and you’ll get a warning “Are you sure to archive tasks in Completed, which will relocate them into Archiver?” Tap on “OK” and the tasks will disappear from Completed and go to Archiver.

Q: I write weekly report every week and monthly report every month, so I wonder if there can be a task list sorted by complete time and grouped by week or month.

A: Archiver meets your requirement exactly: just click the Archive button in the top right of the screen when you are in the "Completed" box, and you'll see the tasks completed in Archiver, sorted by complete time ASC, and grouped by week and month. The feature is now only supported in web version due to performance issue.

Trash

Q: How can I restore a task from Trash?

A: In the Trash, right-click on the task you’d like to recover and select "Put Back".

Q: How can I empty the trash?

A: In the Trash, click the empty button on the top bar and then click "ok" can empty the trash. This operation is irreversible, please consider carefully before operation.

Q: Why can't I find the tasks I deleted 30 days ago?

A: Now, tasks deleted 30 days ago will be automatically emptied.

Synchronization

Q: How does Doit.im for Web sync?

A: It syncs automatically to server in real time. You may also manually do the synchronization at any time by clicking “Sync” icon at the top.

Two-way Synchronization between Doit.im and Google Cal

Q: How can I make tasks on Doit.im synchronized to Google Cal?

A: First, log in to Doit.im for Web. Second, go to Preferences - Account Info. On the page that comes up, click on "Link to Google Calendar". Then the scheduled tasks that you create or modify after the connection is established will appear on Google Calendar.

Note:

1.To make the previous scheduled tasks that you create or modify before the connection takes effect also appear on Google Cal, please edit and then save them one by one.

2.For repeated tasks, only today's and tomorrow's instances can be synchronized to Google Cal.

Q: How can I make events on Google Cal synchronized to Doit.im?

A: After Doit.im successfully links to Google Cal, go to Preference - Account Info in the web version and you can select the calendars which you want to sync with Doit.im.

Then, click on the "G" icon at the upper right and it will soon download data from Google Cal. Tasks scheduled within 30 days can be synced to Doit.im.

Note:

1.The scheduled tasks that you create or modify in Doit.im calendar on the left -side column of Google Cal, will not be synchronized back to Doit.im.

Q: Doit.im has successfully linked to Google Cal. But my tasks are still unable to be synchronized to Google Cal. Why?

A: Synchronization failed. Here are the possible causes:

1.When did you create those tasks? If those tasks were created before the connection between Doit.im and Google Cal was established, please edit and save them to have a try.

2.An error occurred on the process of connecting Doit.im with Google Cal. To solve it, please do as follows:

a. Log in to your Google Account and unauthorize Doit.im;

b. Come back to Doit.im Preferences - Account Info and click to re-link to Google Cal.

Q: How can I identify tasks from Google Cal synchronized to Doit.im?

A: Task from Google Cal synchronized to Doit.im, with a "GCal" tag by default, you only need to click the tag in the tags filter.

Q: Why is there no tasks appear in Google Cal?

A: If you move the GCal tasks to the box without start time in Doit.im ,such as Next box, the tasks may not appear in Google Cal. Besides, the deleted or completed task on Doit.im also will not appear in Google Cal.

Q: How can I make the completed tasks on Doit.im appear on Google Cal?

A: First, log in to Doit.im for Web. Second, go to Preferences - Account Info. On the page that comes up, uncheck the checkbox in front of the sentence, Delete the event that appears on Google Cal but has been marked as "Completed" in Doit.im.

Q: After successfully linking to Google Cal, I can't find Doit.im calendar on Google Cal?

Calendar

Q: What's Calendar?

A: Doit.im supports to present your tasks to do or completed in Doit.im calendar. You can add, view, edit, complete and delete tasks in Doit.im calendar.

Q: Where is Calendar in the web version? I can’t find it.

A: You can switch between “List” and “Calendar” in Scheduled. Go to Scheduled and there are two icons below the “Settings” button at the top right. Click on the right one and you can go to Doit.im calendar. Click on the left one and you can go back to the tasks list.

Evernote

Q: How can I link to my Evernote account?

A: 1.Click on your avatar or nickname at upper left, select “Preferences” > “Account Info” > “Link to Evernote”, then click the “Link” button.

2.Select your Evernote service, and go on with the process on the Authorization page presented.

Q: How can I unlink my Evernote account?

A: Click on your avatar or nickname at upper left, select “Preferences” > “Account Info” > “Link to Evernote”, click the “Unlink” button, then confirm the operation on the pop-up warning.

Q: How can I attach notes from Evernote?

A: Click on the “Attach from Evernote” button on task/project detail page, you’ll be presented with an Evernote list.

1)Select a note by clicking its title.

Q: Can I set repeat strategy for some regular cycle of tasks?

A: Yes,you can. When adding/editing a task,you can see the “Repeat” tab then set the repeat strategy as Daily\Weekly \Weekday\Monthly\Yearly which will go to the Scheduled box.And the repeat strategy will also generate repeat instance go to the Today box or Tomorrow box in the corresponding date .Check the checkbox in front of the task to complete the task in every repeat cycle.

Q: Can I set reminder(s) to a task to avoiding miss something important?

Q: What's the usage of Tags?

A: Tasks with specific tags can be filtered out by tags. In Doit.im, you can at most add 5 tags for a single task.Tasks can be filtered just from the current box. Click the Tag icon at bottom right. By choosing more than one tag for filtering, you'll get tasks with both/all these tags.

Q: What's the usage of Priority?

A: Priority performs an important role when you start doing your tasks. Now, we have four priorities, None, Low, Medium and High.You can set it when editing a task or right click a task on the list and assign a priority to it.

Daily plan

Q: How can I modify the time for my daily plan?

A: Click on your avatar or nickname at upper left, select "Preferences" > “Plan & Review” > “Daily Plan”.

A: Sure you may. There is a box for you to enter estimated time for each task during daily planning. Directly input the number or use the up/down arrow on the keyboard and you can change the time. Q: Now I finish planning for tasks in Today box, but find there are still some time left today, may I pick some from Next box?

Q: May I delete the task being reviewed?

A: Sure. Click the "Delete" icon at lower right, the task would disappear, the next task would then be shown automatically, and the number on left would be immediately updated.

Q: May I record time spent for each task during my daily reviewing?

A: Sure you may. There is a box for you to record time spent, directly input the number or use the up/down arrow on the keyboard and you can change the time.

Q: How could I view the next or previous task during my daily reviewing?

A: Click the down arrow button at the bottom of the left side to view the next task while click the up arrow button at the top of the left side to view the previous one.

Q: By now I've finished reviewing for all today’s tasks, may I assess and score my performance?

A: Sure you may. At this moment, an assessment page appears. You may write a summary of no more than 10000 characters and score your performance today by lighting the stars, click "Save" button at lower right and your daily review would be saved.

Q: Would it be possible to see a pie graph so that I can view my task completion proportion in a more intuitive way?

A: Yes. There will be a pie chart after you save your assessment, with its content including:

  1. Completed tasks;

A: “Deferred tasks” include tasks deferred to tomorrow on the “Daily Review” page and tasks postponed to any date after today after you edit them, or drag and drop in the main window.

Q: Would it be possible to see a bar graph so that I can evaluate the accuracy of my estimated time?

A: Yes. There is a bar graph, contrasting between your estimated time and the time actually spent.

Q: Is it possible to view the daily review I have submitted?

A: Sure it is. Click on your avatar or nickname at upper left, select "View Daily Performance" .

Q: If I close the app or leave the “Daily Review” page by accident, will the changes I've made be saved?

A: Yes, they will.

Q: Is it possible to share my daily review with my friends on Facebook, Twitter,Weibo?

A: Sure it is. Just click the “Share ” button.

Q: My charts failed to be loaded? What should I do now?

A: Please check your network. When the network is bad, the problem may occur.

Weekly Review

Q: How shall I start my weekly review?

A: Click on your avatar or nickname at upper left, select "Start Weekly Review" to start it.

Q: How to do Weekly Review?

A: In Weekly Review, all completed and uncompleted tasks of this week, the daily summary and score in this week are clearly presented in front of you. You can write a summary and give this week's performance a score according to the daily summary and score in this week. Click submit to complete weekly review.

Q: Can I save or download the weekly report?

A: Yes, you can. After submit the weekly summary, click the weekly report button. In the weekly report page, you can choose to download or save the weekly report. You can also browse history weekly, and modify weekly content.

Q: Which browsers does Doit.im support?

A: We support Firefox 3.6+, Safari 4.0+, Chrome 4.0+, IE 8.0+. We don't support lower version of the browsers, so please upgrade your browser or change to another browser if it is a lower version.

Q: I'm using IE7 but can't use Doit.im, what can I do?

Q: What are desktop notifications in Chrome?

A: Messages including task assignment, completion, contact application etc. will pop up in the desktop. More details please refer to here.

Q: I'm using Doit.im with chrome browser, why all tasks are vanishing and going into trash?

A: Please check if the Chrome browser is installed "maleware with chome" plug-in, which may cause this problem. If it exists, please stop using that plug-in.

A: Yes, the following shortcuts are supported now. You can open shortcut help in the following ways:
